THE JOURNEY TO BE WITH ME FROM BIRTH
After finishing my Birth and Postnatal Doula training with the inspiring Kicki Hansard at Birth Bliss Academy, I have now completed my Postnatal Doula Accreditation and have become an Accredited Doula. I am also a trained facilitator for a wonderful parenting programme called ‘Circle of Security Parenting' and have 8 years’ experience as a Montessori teacher. I continue to be a vocal advocate for all things Montessori and incorporate her philosophies into my doula style.
My ‘Be With Me From Birth’ journey began when I made the beautiful connections between the three areas that I am lucky enough to call my career… the importance of ‘Being With’ – ‘being with’ caregivers throughout their parenting, ‘being with’ children in their feelings and emotions, ‘being with’ birthing people and their journey to parenthood, ‘being with’ children as they explore the world. In fact, being with the pain and joy, the fun and the love that accompanies every parenting adventure is at the heart of what I practice.
